3D Prints by Gary is designed as a modular terrain system. Floors, walls, elevations, structures, and accessories are built around repeatable standards so your collection can grow without becoming a box of incompatible parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

3D Prints by Gary creates 3D printable terrain STL files for tabletop games, RPGs, dungeon crawls, wargames, and miniature gaming. Our terrain is designed as a modular system so you can combine floors, walls, caves, buildings, elevation pieces, and accessories into larger layouts.

You receive digital STL files that you can download and print on your own 3D printer. Larger terrain sets and bundles may be organized into multiple ZIP files to make downloading and managing your collection easier. No physical product is shipped unless a product specifically says otherwise.

Yes. Our terrain is primarily designed with FDM 3D printing in mind. Pieces are developed around practical tabletop printing, assembly, durability, and repeatability.

3D Prints by Gary terrain is designed primarily for common 28mm to 32mm tabletop miniatures. The modular floor system uses inch-based dimensions, making it suitable for many fantasy RPGs, dungeon games, and miniature skirmish systems.

Yes. Modularity is one of the main goals of the system. Compatible pieces are designed around shared dimensions and mechanical standards so that terrain from different sets can be combined into larger encounters and layouts.

Many terrain pieces use our removable connector system to help adjoining tiles stay aligned during play. Certain larger tiles and terrain components also support elevation and accessory mounting systems for building multi-level layouts.

Yes. Selected terrain pieces are designed to work with our elevation and riser system, allowing you to build raised platforms, cliffs, bridges, elevated floors, and multi-level encounters while keeping the terrain modular.

Many pieces are designed to print with little or no support material, although requirements can vary depending on the model, printer, orientation, and slicer settings. Recommended printing information will be provided where appropriate.

You can usually scale decorative models if needed, but we recommend printing modular terrain pieces at 100% scale. Changing the scale of tiles, connectors, sockets, or other mechanical components may prevent compatible pieces from fitting together correctly.

Production releases are developed with physical 3D printing and fit testing in mind. We use versioned files so that designs can be refined while maintaining a clear distinction between development models and approved releases.

Purchased downloads are intended to remain accessible through your 3D Prints by Gary account, making it easy to return to your terrain library when you need to print additional pieces.

When a product is updated, revised files may be made available through the corresponding product download. Major expansions or entirely new terrain sets may be released separately.

Your purchase includes the license described on the individual product page. Unless a product specifically includes commercial printing rights, the standard STL purchase should be treated as being for personal use. Check the product license before selling physical prints or distributing files.

The library is being developed around several compatible terrain families, including dungeon terrain, caves, wilderness terrain, walls and fortifications, buildings, floors, elevation pieces, and modular accessories.

A Core Set or terrain bundle is usually the easiest place to begin. Core collections are designed to give you a useful mix of foundational pieces before you expand into specialized walls, structures, elevation components, and scenery.
